Residents of Ijara and Isanlu in Isin Local Government area of Kwara State are lamenting the cloud of insecurity that has descended on road linking the two communities since Tuesday when suspected kidnappers stormed the area.
The incident led to the killing of one Mr Adeyemi of Pamo Isin.
People have been sending messages to different platform informing public not ply the said road.
According to the message,” People In Isin Local Government Of Kwara State Should Avoid Travelling Between Ijara & Isanlu Road As Kidnappers Just Kidnapped Some Unspecified Numbers Of People & Killed One Mr Adeyemi From Pamọ Isin… May God Please Rescue Those In Their Net, Amen!!!” The message read.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State police command has confirmed that one person was killed, and another person declared missing in an attack by suspected kidnappers in the area.
The spokesman of the command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident in Ilorin on Wednesday.
He said only one person was still missing.
“One person was killed, one still missing according to the information available,” he stated.
Okasanmi noted operatives were deployed to the crime scene on Tuesday.
“I will push out details as soon as it is available, please,” Okasanmi added.
