KWSG to promote 27 to Perm Secs, Directors

The Kwara State Government has concluded arrangements to promote 27 civil servants to positions of Permanent Secretaries and Directors to fill the existing vacancies in some ministries and agencies.

The Chairman of Kwara State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Salman Adelodun-Ibrahim made the disclosure during a recent interview with this medium.

He said,”27 officers who are currently on level 16 in their various ministries have written promotion examination to justify the new cadre of Permanent Secretaries and Directors in the state civil service.

“The affected officers who cut across the 16 local government areas of the state are to be interviewed after the Sallah break.”

The chairman gave an assurance that there will be no favouritism or godfatherism in the promotion exercise in order not to stagnate the civil service as the engine room of government policies and programmes.

He described the state civil servants as versatile and discipline set of people who are committed to delivering effective service to the government.

He advised the civil servants to carry out their responsibilities relentlessly with a target of assisting the government in achieving developmental goals to lift the state to greater height.
