The Provost of Kwara State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Ilorin, Alhaji Imam Abubakar Ayinla has felicitated with Hajia Falilat Funmilayo Salami on her appointment as the Chairman of Governing Council of the institution.
Salami until her appointment was a former Director of Education in the Nursing Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The Provost in a statement he personally signed, described the appointment as befitting and a meritorious recognition of the Chairman, considering her track records of excellence, discipline, hardwork and spirit of team work.
Ayinla expressed satisfaction with the appointment stating that, “The College will benefit from her experience, exposure, honesty, praying to Almighty Allah to guard and guide her in her new assignment.
The chairperson was warmly received by the Provost and management Staff of the school.
Salami was briefed about the general administration of the college, its manpower resources, staff welfare human development, infrastructures, security architecture, transportation and logics among others.
The Provost, said, “Here we are, seriously guided by the rules and regulations of the Nursing Council which you are familiar with, provisional admission into this citadel of learning is strictly by merit and students are warned seriously to shun any social vices that could be inimical to their primary assignment on campus while our staff are committed to their duties and professional calling”, the Provost stated.
The brief ceremony was rounded up with a group photograph, while the chairperson was taken round the college community on a familiarization tour.
“I noticed good work, team spirit, resilience and hardwork in the college environment with environmental sanitation observed plus precautionary COVID-19 protocols in place, this is very commendable, keep the good work,” the Chairman enthused on her assessment during the maiden visit.
