I ventured into business to save lives – CEO, Sunny Pharmacy
Mrs. Damilola Sunday Adebayo is the Chief Executive Officer of Sunny Pharmacy, whose passion to save lives propelled her to establish a pharmaceutical business.
“After I graduated from the University with a Degree in Pharmacy, during my in-house experience I discovered that many patients are dying out of ignorance from drug abuse and going against physician’s prescription most especially among ladies.
“I decided to source for capital to establish a pharmaceutical business where we don’t just administer tablets but counsel patients on their health challenges,” she explained.
She further explained that she had to go against the wish of her husband and parents to go into private business.
According to her, her husband and parents advised her to seek employment with a hospital or health organisation so as to get better wage.
“This posed a serious challenge for me, which made me to contemplate quitting the business at some point, but I remained obstinate with determination to be successful in what I am doing. My family members are now proud of my decision.”
Adebayo encouraged youths to always stick to their vision and exploit their talents for economic gain.
