I turned down federal job for business – CEO, Marscot Communication

For Babatunde Mashood, his intense passion for business made him to turn down a job offer by the Federal Road Safety Corps.
Moshood, a Business Administration HND graduate who from Kwara State Polytechnics said the burning desire to go into business started while in secondary school.
“I started my business with N7,000, which I struggled to source through hard labour. There was nobody to assist me as I was left to my fate. My siblings could not fathom why I wanted to go into business instead of going for white collar job.
“Today I thank God. I don’t regret my decision. Though, I am not a millionaire but I can strongly say that I am satisfied. There is nothing anybody in any other field of endeavour can boast of in terms of achievement that I don’t have,” he added.
According to him, it wasn’t easy at the beginning as he moved from pillar to pillar to source for fund to start off the business.
On the secret of his success, he said focus and determination is the foundation of his achievements in the enterprise.
He advised youths to discover their talents early enough and exploit it, saying, “Don’t try to be like another person, be yourself. If you can discover yourself, you will be yourself.”
He, further advised potential businessmen to take honesty, good service delivery as watchword.
