‘Passion for education made me start coaching centre business’

For Mr. James Okhifo his burning desire to impact knowledge gave birth to his coaching centre, Wisdom Institute situated in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
According to him, the passion he had for business made him turn down offer for white collar job.
Okhifo added that he also  realised that the white collar job could not meet his financial commitment
He said, ” After completion of my  compulsory  service year in 2009 I got a job to teach Mathematics and Physics in a secondary school with N20,000 renumeration,  but I turned down the job.
“So, I started a coaching class for ‘A’ level and O’level candidates. I assisted them even when their parents could not afford to pay for my service,” he added.
The CEO said one of the challenges he faced at the onset of his enterprise was funding.
“Actually the initial motive was to render selfless service to the society as making money was not my priority then,” he explained.
He, however, called on the youths to embrace entrepreneurship towards   achieving  success in life.
